Bonfire & Fireworks Night, October 29th 5pm
We estimate that approximately 2000 people took the time to come out and experience the event , it is almost impossible to put into a few words how truly awesome and incredible the Bonfire & Firework night was.
After months of planning and enormous amount of volunteered help from all our community, we can only say a massive thank you and well done to everyone that supported us, especially all the volunteers. Special thanks has to go to all the young members of our community, they all worked so hard with their schools and families putting so much creative time and effort into the Great Guy Competition, Halloween Fancy Dress and Bonfire Facade. Whitchurch Festival can easily say that without you the event could not have been as outstanding as it was.
Building the Castle-themed bonfire was a huge task, took 2 days to build and was finished with pupils from the Whitchurch Primary school and Beavers painting the walls. It looked truly awesome and it was actually a shame it had to be lit!
The fireworks display by Pyrotastic was visually mind blowing, and we have since had feedback suggesting it was 'the best Whitchurch has ever seen'. Pyrotastic have worked with us throughout this project and their professional efforts really put the icing on the cake and helped to make this event the success it was.
We have some amazing sets of photos from this event, please click on the below slide show hyperlinks to view:
