Charitable awards and projects.
This is the guidance for a Charitable Awards and Projects in the Whitchurch Festival Association constitution.
- Our primary objective will be to make Donations and Awards to Groups and Charities within Whitchurch.
- All charitable projects such as "We'll Meet Again" will be part of the charitable budget.
- Money will only be aimed at charitable objects that support the residents, groups and charities of Whitchurch.
- Education and Welfare should be a primary focus for charitable awards.
- Any project that is awarded money will be managed through the Whitchurch Festival Association Management Committee. If this project sits with an external charity, then this charity must work with Whitchurch Festival to ensure all monies are appropriately used.
- Any funds not used on a project will be returned to the Whitchurch Festival Charities Budget at the discretion of the Whitchurch Festival Association.
- The membership will have final vote on the allocation of funds to charitable awards or project's at Special General Meeting.
- The Trustees should be responsible for ensuring that all applications are constitutional.
- A public announcement should be made to the community at large staring that applications should be made for donations or project financing, and these applications must be done within a specific timescale.
